yet 83% of americans said they supported the president's use of drone strikes. i'm wondering is there any public pressure to be more transparent? is that going to happen now? >> that's really interesting. i mean, you cited that poll, 83% of folks agree with the drone program, its use at least overseas. there's a difference if this is used on our soil here, certainly no backing for that among americans, but so far you haven't seen the outcry of a public outcry in terms of this program being used to target americans overseas. i think this is the first big public airing of this issue that we've seen. we'll see obviously brennan take it up today and perhaps after that you'll have americans raising some concern, but so far there has been bipartisan concern i think on the hill. it hasn't extended to the american public, and even in some ways you have had a situation here where republicans have been the fiercest supporters of this program. some folks saying what about democrats also being in the president's corner if this was bush doing the same thing? would they have

should the rest of us freak out? >> maybe, there's two possible stories, one is that walmart is seeing is very bad for the rest of the economy. and that's the story like this. consumers weren't expecting a big payroll tax hike to hit them in january and started to notice it when the paychecks were lighter than expected in the first half of the month, seconds half of the month. they pulled way back on spending in february. there's going to be some of that effect going on. obviously most economists think the payroll tax hike will chill growth in some way. the question is, will consumers adjust and is it sort of a one time deal? the other story though, walmart tends do do very well in recessions because they are such a retailer that caters to the lower end of the economic spectrum. they've stocked cheap products. it's possible if people are doing better now they are moving to slightly more expensive rivals of walmart like target, which could very well be the case too. it could be a mix or one or the other. >> is it stil
